Re: your crush washer:
Please get rid of crush washer on muzzle brake before you damage your can. Crush washers don’t align brake with bore and can lead to baffle strikes.
Shim kit is the correct item to use to index brake if suppressor is in the mix. Also perhaps bore alignment rod to verify bore and suppressor are in line before firing. CNC Warrior has decent and inexpensive alignment rods for this use.
I was about to say the same thing about the crush washer. They’re just used to index the muzzle device. They aren’t good on firearms with silencers.

There was something about the OD of the shims that made me not use them. I think maybe I couldn’t get a wrench to fit on the brake. Glad I have readers smarter than me.
