from my years of reading the LA Times, i can confidently say that the assault weapon shown in that picture is an 50 caliber AK-47 sniper rifle.

Even funnier that it has “.45 ACP” showing on the slide.

Those military ridges on the front of this assault rifle( the shoulder stock) serve no practical purpose other than to murder people and hold spare clips. It also has a beavertail clip in the back that you press and make it fully automatic. Only Robocop and Demolition Man need that.
