Category: OFFICER SAFETY!

  • No, they can’t

First of all, I’m generally against leaving guns in unlocked cars. You should always lock your car, and if you’ve got to disarm then get something like this.

Now, with that out of the way, I’d like to address this statement:

Police said if a stolen gun is used to hurt someone, the gun’s owner could be held liable.

This is patently false. Tennessee is a free state. We don’t have any of that “lost and stolen” or “Safe Storage” bullcrap they have in Yankee Country. You are no more liable for what a criminal does with a gun stolen out of your car than you are for what he does with your car if he steals your car.

Remember, never ask a cop what the law is.

  • Not My Problem

Pizza delivery guy gets robbed by two guys. When it’s over, he floors it to get away from them. In his haste to get away, he runs a stop sign on a college campus.

Campus PD pulls him over and he tells them he’s just been robbed. What does Campus PD do?

They take 15 minutes to write him a $228 ticket for running the stop sign, and then tell him to call the city cops to report the robbery.

    Priorities.

  • The failure of gun control

Good thing we have the NFA and the Hughes Amendment to keep criminals from having machine guns.

I mean, it’s not like some teenager can build an open bolt, mag fed automatic airgun that shoots AA batteries with enough muzzle energy to maim or kill you. And he made it out of PVC and a sprinkler valve.

The build thread indicates attempts at rifling and 1″ conduit produce more accurate results.

  • And they were right!

Critics said that if we allowed people with handgun carry permits to carry in parks, there would be shotgun attacks against schoolchildren on playgrounds.

    And they were right!

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. –

Seventeen-year-old Michael Hague surrendered himself at police headquarters late Tuesday night and is confined at juvenile detention on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a gun on school property.

Hague is accused of firing a shotgun at two teenagers on the playground of Robert Lillard Elementary School at 3200 Kings Lane last Thursday.

Apparently one of the victims “dissed” him earlier in the day at school.

So yes, allowing people who have carry permits (21+, trained, no criminal record) to carry handguns in state parks allowed this 17 year old to shotgun two other teenagers on an elementary school playground.

  • Yeah, that’s fair

When officers repeatedly electrocute suspects until the suspects die, it’s not the officers’ fault: It’s “Excited Delirium”

If a suspect struggles with an officer and then later that officer has a fatal reaction to painkillers prescribed by a licensed physician, compounded by emphysema and obesity, it’s “reckless homicide”

Because, you know, the suspect should have known that the doctor was going to kill the officer.

  • Foreshadowing

This is what Canton, OH, is begging for by keeping Officer Daniel Harless in any capacity. It’s also what any other police force should expect to see by hiring him.

  • The shoulder thing that goes up

is apparently also called a “silencer.”

And, just like every semi-auto rifle is an AK47, every large, unreliable pistol is a TEC9.

  • Officer Roid Rage is traumatized

His hearing has been postponed, because he has been diagnosed with PTSD.

No word on what the traumatic incident was, but check out what his lawyer said about why he couldn’t attend his disciplinary hearing:

β€œThe progress that Dan Harless is making with his doctor visits would only be reversed with reliving this incident so close to his treatment for his PTSD disability,” Adams wrote.

I don’t know about you, but it sounds to me like the traumatic incident was people all over the country finding out he’s an asshole.

  • Take your blood pressure meds

    You’re going to need them.

    Done? Ok:

TSA Agent Thedala Magee is suing Amy Alkon for a half million dollars because Alkon complained–loudly, publicly, and often–about being gate-raped.

  • Officer Roid Rage “Violated Rules”

And there’s a hearing on September 7th to determine punishment.

Sadly, criminal charges don’t seem to be part of the punishment. Like you and me, only better.
