  • Happy Halloween!

    From the Kilt Beast.

  • Listen to me talk about knives!

I’ve started talking about knives on Assorted Calibers Podcast, the spiritual successor to the Gun Blog Variety Cast that Wizard used to be on!

If there’s something that you’ve been curious about when it comes to sharp pointy things, let me know.

  • I May Own a Couple Knives

Exhibit A as to why I got called out on the Assorted Calibers Podcast to talk about knives:

No, this isn’t all of my pocket knives.

My wife claims that I own enough knives.

Pfft.  As if that’s a thing.

  • Wee Little Pocket Sun

Just got this little guy in.  It advertises 550 lumens on high.  After using it, I believe it.  I also appreciate that it’s button press cycle is “low, high, medium, flash.”  Especially, since you can hold down the button a turn it off at any point, without cycling all the way through.  The “flash” setting is just annoying.

Oh, and I love the itty bitty pocket clip.

Interestingly, it comes with a USB cable to charge it, that little pocket clip that’s sitting next to it above, a lanyard, and a neck chain for it, but not a key ring.  This thing is the perfect size for a key ring light, and that’s where it’s currently hanging out for me.

If you’re interested in getting one, you can find it here.

  • Some stuff happened at GRPC

Sadly, I wasn’t there, but I have been following it.

Apparently, it’s been a pretty big weekend for my good friend, Erin Pallette.

First, she was awarded a Defender of Liberty award by the 2nd Amendment Foundation.

Then, she announced that Operation Blazing Sword and the Pink Pistols are merging, and she’s going to be the national coordinator for the Pink Pistols on top of her duties at Operation Blazing Sword.

Congratulations to Erin, and I know that she will keep up the good work.

  • Can’t Stop the Signal

If you remember the fight over PGP in the 90’s, this should amuse you.  I know it amuses me.

  • I Have A Problem

So…. I found this mag at the gun show today….

Yep.  A 22 round drum mag for my Bersa Thunder 380.  ProMag discontinued these things years ago, and I never thought I’d actually find one.

    I’m a sick man.

  • Gentlemen, Start Your Printers!

I feel a need to share this.

  • Overheard at the Range Today

“Ok, this aluminum cased ammo is junk.  The case deforms and jams up everything we brought”

/me sees that there are 15 rounds left

“Hold on, I’m going to try something stupid… the last 15 rounds in my Bersa Thunder 9 using a ProMag magazine!”

    “Go ahead, play the lottery!”

    /me loads gun

*bang bang bang until slide lock*

    “It worked!”

“Time to buy a lotto ticket!”

  • This One Goes to 11!

Of course, the fun thing is that one of these mags is a felony in some states, while the other is just fine.

Because, you know, that one round makes it EEEEEEEEEE-vil.
