And the house is awfully familiar, too.

That’s funny right there
“Suppressors are legal with a tax stamp, but silencers are illegal”.
Check out the link for the rest of the story. It’ll make you smile.

That’s convenient
Bob Pope–former gun show operator, radio host, publisher of “The Tennessee Patriot”, and friend of mine–has decided that three years after selling his 28 year old gun show operation to rival RK Shows that gun shows and private sales should no longer be legal in Tennessee.
This comes after briefly endorsing Democrat Mike I-own-a-Taurus-Judge-which-proves-I-am-a-serious-gun-owner McWherter for Governor and a strongly held stance against permitless carry.
What the hell, Bob? It really saddens me that you of all people would be completely uninformed on this issue.

No, they can’t
First of all, I’m generally against leaving guns in unlocked cars. You should always lock your car, and if you’ve got to disarm then get something like this.
Now, with that out of the way, I’d like to address this statement:
Police said if a stolen gun is used to hurt someone, the gun’s owner could be held liable.
This is patently false. Tennessee is a free state. We don’t have any of that “lost and stolen” or “Safe Storage” bullcrap they have in Yankee Country. You are no more liable for what a criminal does with a gun stolen out of your car than you are for what he does with your car if he steals your car.
Remember, never ask a cop what the law is.

Debt Free Living Series: That’s all for now
I’m pretty much out of material for now. I had fun writing it and I’m glad I have a place I can point people to now when I get asked stuff in the future.
I’ll still be doing posts on the debt free lifestyle, just not every Monday. The Legislative Session is kicking off soon and I’ll need to focus my blogging efforts on that.
If you enjoyed the series, I encourage you to check out Mr. Money Mustache. That guy takes it to a whole new level of crazy awesomeness.

Now that that’s taken care of
You can now follow the blog on that twitter thingy.

Well that makes it difficult
I have a Walther P22 with both the 3.5″ and the 5″ target barrels, 1/2×28 threaded barrel adapter, scope mount, fake suppressor
, and two magazines and with the original box (including contents).
I tried to sell the package yesterday at the gun show for $500.
There were two types of people that looked at it: The guy that recognized I had a $700 kit selling for $500 because he already owned three P-22’s (and didn’t need another one), and the guy that couldn’t understand why I was selling a used .22 for $500 that he could get new for $450 out the door.
It seems that I should break the kit up and sell pieces individually. Who needs P22 stuff?

Your biased headline of the day
Clerk fatally shoots robbery suspect, claims self-defense
See, he claimed self defense, like there’s a question as to whether or not a 25 year old with an extensive criminal record who pulls a knife and jumps the counter meant any harm to the clerk.

Stop ignoring the Java Update
You know that little box that pops up, like, every day that says “There is an update for Java available?”
You need to go ahead and update that.
Like, right now.
There is a serious vulnerability that doesn’t care if you’re a Mac, PC, Linux, or UNIX user. The vulnerability being out there is one thing (Oh, look at the cute little theory!), but when an exploit gets published to MetaSploit shit just got real.
Seriously. RIGHT NOW!
(Or uninstall it if you don’t need it. Unfortunately, I do need it.)
