Originally, I <a href=\"https:\/\/gunscarstech.com\/2011\/10\/15\/twinkies\/\">set it up as a .22 copy of my main AR<\/a>. Pretty quickly after that, I made some <a href=\"https:\/\/gunscarstech.com\/2013\/01\/29\/now-did-i-jump-the-shark\/\">modifications to my main AR<\/a> and then <a href=\"https:\/\/gunscarstech.com\/2012\/10\/28\/gone-and-done-it\/\">tried to set up the M&#038;P15-22 as an Appleseed Rifle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That little venture <a href=\"https:\/\/gunscarstech.com\/2013\/07\/30\/range-report-review-of-the-nikon-p-223-and-other-stuff\/\">failed spectactularly<\/a>, so now the AR trainer is back to being an AR trainer. I finally bought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B008SELU4U\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B008SELU4U&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=gucaante-20\">a cheap UTAC red\/green dot reflex sight<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=gucaante-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B008SELU4U\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> and mounted it:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gunscarstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_3361.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gunscarstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/IMG_3361-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3361\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2989\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, I haven&#8217;t had an opportunity to take this out to the range, so all my observations don&#8217;t take into account the actual operation while shooting. The sight has a rubber cover for the lens, which I didn&#8217;t expect. The color and intensity are set by turning the wheel on top, and the reticle is selected via a lever on the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the wheel <i>also<\/i> houses the CR2032 battery, and if you turn the top of the wheel counter-clockwise you&#8217;ll accidentally remove the battery. They&#8217;re not visible when you look through the sight properly.
