Just got this little guy in.  It advertises 550 lumens on high.  After using it, I believe it.  I also appreciate that it’s button press cycle is “low, high, medium, flash.”  Especially, since you can hold down the button a turn it off at any point, without cycling all the way through.  The “flash” setting is just annoying.

Oh, and I love the itty bitty pocket clip.

Interestingly, it comes with a USB cable to charge it, that little pocket clip that’s sitting next to it above, a lanyard, and a neck chain for it, but not a key ring.  This thing is the perfect size for a key ring light, and that’s where it’s currently hanging out for me.

Apparently, it’s been a pretty big weekend for my good friend, Erin Pallette.

First, she was awarded a Defender of Liberty award by the 2nd Amendment Foundation.

Then, she announced that Operation Blazing Sword and the Pink Pistols are merging, and she’s going to be the national coordinator for the Pink Pistols on top of her duties at Operation Blazing Sword.

Congratulations to Erin, and I know that she will keep up the good work.

Suppressor is an ancient YHM Phantom 762. I’ve had it like 10 years and I bought it used.

I think I’m going to put the new Primary Arms Gen II 3x Prism optic on it when it comes out. I have several of their optics and I’m generally pleased with them.
I’ve still got a bad taste in my mouth from the EOTech Debacle so I’m not quiiiiiite ready to try another holographic sight.

Regarding the placement of the light: I know it’s on the “wrong” side for a right-handed shooter, but the 8.5″ barrel with the YHM muzzle brake limits how far forward I can mount the light. The WMLx is 800 lumens and uses two CR132A batteries, so it’s pretty long. If I mount it on the right side, I end up having this really weird contortionist grip that is neither comfortable nor sustainable. On the left side, I can use my ring finger to activate the switch and it’s okay. The WML is shorter than the WMLx, so I may have been better off getting that one.

I feel a need to share this.

Of course, the fun thing is that one of these mags is a felony in some states, while the other is just fine.

Because, you know, that one round makes it EEEEEEEEEE-vil.

Well, because California is weird he’s going to go up against Diane “Mr and Mrs America, turn them all in” Feinstein in the general election for her Senate seat even though he lost the primary.

And the California Democrat Party just endorsed him over her. Apparently she’s too right wing for them.

You know you’ve been busy when you manage to get your hands on a Sig p365 for a couple weeks and you haven’t managed to get to the $#%^* range.

I sure you’ve already heard of the shooting at the Waffle House near me.

And by near, I mean “the cops knocked on my door in the manhunt” near.

Funny thing, though, I read the next day that the police were instructing my neighbors to lock their doors and stay inside, for their safety.  I’ve talked to one lady who actually had her house searched.

Me?  I think the officer heard me tell the wife “it’s ok, it’s a cop” before unlocking the door.  He then saw me with a pistol on my hip, and the wife behind me holding a bo staff bigger than she is.

The first words out of his mouth were “So… I’m guessing you’ve seen the news…” and instructed me to remember to call them if I saw anything.

I guess he figured that he would have already heard if the guy chose my house for shelter that night, and the rest was redundant.
